Guillermo Moro is a Partner at Guglielmino International Law.
He graduated as a lawyer at the Universidad Nacional del Litoral (Argentina), ranked 1st among his class. He holds a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School, with honors.
Guillermo has extensive experience in international arbitration. He has acted as counsel in numerous investment and commercial international arbitration proceedings, under ICSID, ICSID(AF), UNCITRAL, ICC, and LCIA rules, in disputed concerning a great variety of economic sectors, including oil & gas, construction, mining, finance, agriculture, banking, automotive, food supply, international trade, tourism, transportation, social security, and others.
Guillermo has been a member of the legal team at Guglielmino International Law that has recently contributed to Sovereign States prevailing in a series of international investment arbitrations, defeating claims worth more than USD 2 billion. He has acted also as Special Counsel in other international investment arbitrations, with favourable results as well.
He has advised States from Latin America and Asia on matters of international investment law and negotiation of treaties.
Besides his activity as counsel, Guillermo has developed also a career as a law professor. Beginning in 2007, he has taught graduate and post-graduate classes at several universities, including the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Universidad de Palermo, and Universidad de San Andrés, among others. Currently, he teaches International Investment Law at the Universidad Torcuato Di Tella (Argentina), where he has also coached teams for the Jessup International Law Moot Court competition and the Foreign Direct Investment Moot competition.
Guillermo has published several articles and chapters in books, and has also translated essays and books, in the matters of his expertise. He has been senior editor at different law reviews and anonymous referee for several international law reviews. He is regularly invited to speak at international law conferences, having appeared more than 40 times in that capacity in Argentina and abroad.
Throughout his career, Guillermo has been awarded different prestigious scholarships and awards, including the Fulbright Scholarship, the Harvard Summer Academic Fellowship, the National Award to the Young Legal Academic, the Supreme Court of Justice Award, among others.
He speaks Spanish and English fluently, and has working ability in Italian and Portuguese.
