The Law Firm Longobucco & Associati was founded by Prof. Avv. Francesco Longobucco and is based in Rome (Italy).
The Founder got a PhD in Civil Law and is now a tenured University Professor at Roma Tre University (Rome), where he taught and still teaches: Private Law, Consumer Law, Civil Environmental Law, Private Law of big data and new technologies, Legal foundations of new technologies, Private Law for music and entertainment. In other Italian Universities he has also taught Private International Law, Contract Business Law, Competition Law and Contract Law in a “pro-competitive key”.
He has also carried out research and teaching activities in foreign Universities all over the world (China – Bejing University, Spain – Universidad de Pablo Olavide, France – Sorbonne Université, Germany – Heidelberg University, UK – University of Oxford, United States – Loyola Law School of Los Angeles, USA). He has been a speaker at numerous Italian and International specialist conferences.
Prof. Avv. Francesco Longobucco is author of various monographic works and numerous essays also translated into English, Spanish, Chinese, published in journals and volumes of high national and international scientific value.
From 2007, in his professional field, he has been a legal counsel of important Italian and International firms, developing – in the various practice areas – judicial and extrajudicial conflict resolution strategies, in favor of private subjects, companies, public bodies and public administrations, Authorities and Institutions.
He is specialized in classical civil and economic law, private international law, business compliance, banking and financial law (having also been, in the three-year period 2017-2019, Banking and Financial Arbitrator by appointment of the Bank of Italy, and being currently Head of Compliance, AML, Risk Management, DPO Privacy for credit intermediaries), health law and medical liability, labor law, business law and business contracts, bankruptcy and business crisis law, copyright, music/ entertainment law/legal protection of the artist, law of digitization and smart contracts and blockchain , privacy law, environmental and cultural heritage law.

Prof. Avv. Francesco Longobucco taught Business Contract Law. The Founder teaches Competition Law and is the author of issues on the subject of violation of competition rules and consumer protection. He is also included in the list of external lawyers of the Antitrust Authority. The Firm assists collectors, intermediaries and artists in the most frequent legal issues (sales and due diligence of artistic works, loans, acquisitions, sector contracts, management of family artistic assets, fundraising, legal disputes, copyright violations, activity aimed at the so-called art restitution from third countries).
In consideration of the external synergies initiated by the Firm, also in the perspective of the protection of the so-called “Made in Italy”, the Founder is able to assist companies producing and importing food, beverages and similar products, and companies in the large-scale distribution and collective catering, in the correct application of food law and related matters. The Founder is DPO privacy and deals in particular with privacy applications in the context of bargaining via blockchain and smart contracts. The Founder taught Internal and International Arbitration Law for the National Chamber of Mediation and Arbitration. In all areas of activity, the Firm promotes the use of Alternative Dispute Resolution, in particular arbitration as a privileged means of resolving the conflict (in contractual matters tout court, corporate, commercial, civil liability, labor law especially for executives and middle managers, banking and financial, consumer, intellectual property protection, etc.), both documentary, ad hoc or administered, both nationally and internationally. The Firm also assists foreign clients involved in Italy on matters of jurisdiction, applicable law, enforcement of foreign awards.
