Ádám Illés, LL.M is founding partner of Visegrad+ Legal Hungary. He acts for companies in a broad range of industries and has extensive expertise in foreign direct investments and M&A.
After his graduation at the Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest he obtained a Master of Law at the University of Göttingen focusing on competition law and recently he completed a professional course for corporate lawyers at his alma mater with a thesis on crowdfunding.
In his junior years, Ádám worked at a Hungarian law firm representing mostly German companies in Hungary and spent an internship at a renowned law office in Hanover during his studies in Germany. Following his admittance to the Hungarian Bar Association, he joined a Czech regional law firm to help establish the firm’s Hungarian office which he led as partner for more than 3 years and acted for several international companies advising in corporate and commercial law. As co-author he contributed to the Hungarian chapter of Mergers & Acquisitions International Series 2nd Edition published by Sweet & Maxwell in 2016. He advised in the acquisition of the shares of a leading Hungarian distributor of disposable horeca products by a UK group which was ranked as no. 9 on the list of Hungarian deals in 2016.
He is a member of the Budapest Bar Association, Vice-President of the Management Board of Visegrad+ Legal and member of the Board of the Czech-Hungarian Business Association.
