Biography
As a co-founder of the firm, Risti has broad expertise in the IP area. She has over 20 years of experience aiding for both Indonesian and foreign clients in a variety of IP projects. Risti leads the IP Prosecution Team and oversees the Commercial IP practice group.
Admitted as IP Consultant in 2006, Risti handles a wide range of prosecution works, involving of trademarks and geographical indications, industrial designs, copyright and patent. She also involved in enforcement of IP rights as well as led IP commercial projects, including providing advisory services with respect to franchising, licensing, distributorship, consumer protection, anti-monopoly, as well as issues relating to media and data protection/privacy. She has advises clients across different industries, including FMCG, fashion, application-based transportation, consumer goods, F&B, media, e-commerce and tobacco. She was the lawyer behind the successful exemption from the Ministry of Trade for a multinational ready-to-assemble furniture manufacturer and distributor. She also advised the world’s largest software manufacturer on a landmark copyright case.
Risti has published IP-related articles, including on Bloomberg Law, Asia IP and Franchise Law Review. She is actively involved to speak in a various seminar on IP-related topics.
