Biography
Minghao focuses on commercial disputes, with particular expertise in construction and engineering disputes. He regularly represents clients in the construction industry at different stages of the project cycle, ranging from front-end consultation and advisory work, to back-end work when disputes have arisen.
Minghao has considerable experience both in the Singapore courts and in international arbitrations. More recently, Minghao acted as lead counsel in successfully obtaining a stay of proceedings in Singapore in favour of proceedings in Papua New Guinea on grounds of forum non conveniens, in respect of a multi-million dollars claim by a Singapore company against its former director.
Minghao has considerable experience as lead counsel in adjudications under Singapore’s Building and Construction Industry Security of Payment Act, as well as related proceedings in the Singapore courts involving setting aside and stay of enforcement of adjudication determinations.
Minghao is a member of the Society of Construction Law (Singapore).
